This work package is led by our partners in Stavanger, Norway.
It aims to create regions where communities are engaged in the need for careful energy management. Partners will work to develop community ownership of projects enabling sustainable behavioural change and facilitating investment to save. By informing communities about their carbon impact and ways of reducing it, we aim to engage and enthuse citizens in this process. The totality of partner work will develop a body of experience to inform future projects within the partner regions and beyond.
Key project activities required to deliver these aims include the following:
- An innovative tool for public-display of real-time energy consumption/ carbon footprint
- A programme to support individual actions to reduce energy consumption
- An innovative local offsetting project to provide funds for carbon reduction
