How do we go beyond the information with support programmes?
Keeping students informed about their role in climate change is important, but how can that be converted into real action? What initiatives have you run that have proven successful in getting students to make changes. What is important for the success of these initiatives? What hasn't worked so well - and how could this be improved in the future?

RE: How do we go beyond the information with support programmes?
In our school, we made a assembly in Energy Reduction to rise aware of our campaign. We attached a small motor to a bike which would produce enough electricity to power applicances below 12 volts. We attached two circuits of lights to the bike, one standard light bulbs the other LEDs. When pupils were called up as part of the assembly they could feel the difference in resistence between the two circuits. This was a memorable assembly across the school for both students and teachers. The competition between the ANSWER schools sparks competitiveness and also you set up a competition within school between groups of people. It is difficult to maintain interest for long periods of time!
