AWS is a web development and software company, offering a full range of products and services either in-house, or via our award winning partner network, providing our clients with a one-stop-shop for their online presence and digital marketing requirements.
We have reduced our electricity and gas consumption to lower than good practice benchmarks by monitoring the usage and changing suppliers. Staff awareness and involvement in the reduction of energy consumption has significantly increased.

In the last year we have reduced our energy consumption by 3%, reducing our carbon footprint by 1.2 tonnes of CO2e per year. We have achieved this reduction by implementing an Energy and Carbon Reduction Policy and creating an ongoing Action Plan. We held a CSR week and meet regularly to discuss energy issues and ways to make a difference. By implementing a recycle inititive and placing colour coded bins in the office, we have managed to reduce general waste and encourage everybody to recycle sensibly.
We have all gained a greater understanding of how simple changes can make a difference and it is actually quite fun!
Obtaining an Energy Report from an Environmental Business Advisor helped and encouraged us to kick start our action plan.
