The conference focussed on saving energy and cutting costs in the workplace as well as highlighting the importance of becoming greener in business.
Working with ANSWER for over 3 years, POM East- and West-Flanders have met enthusiastic businesses keen to reduce their energy consumption day after day! We want to highlight their efforts, their motivation and benefits at our joint local energy conference for businesses on 13th of October in Bruges. Because we believe in the strength of engaged businesses inspiring others!
On 10 and 17 October 2011, POM East Flanders organized a final session on energy management for companies from the region Meetjesland. After two successfull editions at the Ghent Harbour and Waasland region, this last session concluded the training programme on energy management. Our organizing partner for this session was Streekplatform Meetjesland.
On September 13, the third edition of the "energy afternoon" for the companies in the Ghent Harbor was organized. This time, mobility was the key topic of the afternoon.
A seminar on energy efficient lighting was hosted by POM East Flanders in cooperation with the business club Bedrijvenzone Eke vzw.
As the ANSWER project has almost come to an end, we are thinking of (a) follow up project(s) for ANSWER.
POM West-Flanders is fully preparing to welcome all ANSWER partners to Ostend on the Belgian coast and North Sea; hopefully an inspiring location for our next ANSWER meetings!
POM West and East Flanders cooperate on an information seminar on GREEN IT!
On the 3rd of March, about 15 businesses or organizations subscribed the West-Flanders sustainability charter for the first time. Since energy is one of the 10 sustainability topics of the charter they commit to, this event was the ideal moment to launch ANSWER’s green business network: www.greenbusinessnetwork.eu!
