ANSWER will be playing a big part in the Greenest County marquee at this year’s Suffolk Show. Suffolk County Council and Ipswich Borough Council will be representing the work of partners in developing lower carbon communities, along with the Environment Agency. Meanwhile, in the Chamber’s tent there will be a special focus on Energywise and broader support for businesses.
We will be highlighting a range of the latest resources being developed for Suffolk residents. These include interest-free loans for energy-efficiency measures (and further work into developing sustainable funding for a sustainable future) and our new carbon footprint map. Ipswich residents will no doubt be excited to hear about the fast developing plans for the barometer. ANSWER’s influence is spreading; the Greenest County team have been inspired by Växjö’s success back in September to bring their own smoothie bike to showgoers.
As ever, we’re as much about questions as answers. We can’t develop the right support without being told what’s needed. So we will be busy on both days there asking what makes people ‘go green’ and what more can be done to make their progress easier. We’re always moving forward!
