Energy seminar in the Ghent Harbor: "Rethinking 2050"

On October 12, VeGHO and POM East Flanders organized

the second edition of the "energy afternoon" for the companies in the Ghent Harbor.

• A vision for Europe

             'Rethinking 2050: a 100% renewable energy vision for the E.U.' by Mrs. E. Smith, policy officer at EREC

             (European Renewable Energy Council)

• What's up in the city of Ghent?

             Local representative Balthazar discussed the policy and upcoming energy projects for the city of Ghent.

             The new "Climate Pact" and the results of the Zero Carbon Measurement were introduced.

• And what about the Ghent Harbor?

            The Harbor Company drew up a Strategic Plan 2010-2020. Key topics are energy and sustainability.

            VeGHO introduced new and upcoming energy initiatives for its members. Among others:

            energymapping of the harbor and sensitizing employees.
