The Rotary business club of Bruges West has about 55 members, 25 of them gathering every other week to discuss a wide range of acual topics, challenges and charity projects.
On 17th of December, Rotary has devoted their lunch meeting to the energy and carbon challenge: the (long) way to carbon neutral industrial estates. POM WF was invited as guest speaker to talk about:
- energy policy today and in the future
- in what possible ways businesses on industrial estates can contribute to reach these carbon neutral standards, such as
- adding extra insulation to our buildings (related to the use of thermography)
- reducing energy comsumption for processes e.g. pressurized air leak control
- digestion of business waste flows
- how to engage staff to save energy
