The Carbon Reduction Loan is available to help anyone with the initial cost of projects that deliver energy savings. Significant carbon savings can be made with
no or minimal investment, but there are poor levels of awareness about how they can be achieved.
Much of the work within ANSWER addresses this by engaging, advising and assisting. However, many will still face a common obstacle in the investment needed for crucial structural changes such as insulation. This interest free loan helps to tackle this issue, by offering money to any project with proven carbon savings.
The loan scheme will make many projects revenue-neutral to those implementing them, as the lower energy bills balance the loan repayments.
The loan is available from 7th September 2009 for sums up to £5,000 (¤4,400).
