The Suffolk Carbon Charter celebrated its 2nd birthday with a special event at The Bull Hotel in Woodbridge.
Since its launch the Charter has rapidly developed its brand awareness - currently 60 small and medium business inSuffolkare accredited. Each accreditation lasts for 2 years and is independent affirmation of a business’ environmental responsibility.
As a locally recognised, independently credible and small business-specific accr4editation, the Charter is a unique package. As such it has attracted a considerable degree of interest from other regions and through the Green Economy Pathfinder.
The Bull Hotel on Market Hill, Woodbridge acted as hosts for the evening. They were awarded the Charter in January 2011, in recognition of their excellent energy management and commitment to reducing use by 15%.
The Charter was launched 2 years ago by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in March 2010. It is run as a joint venture between Suffolk County Council and the Environment agency.
