Whether improving the mini-bar's ventilation, cooling server farms or creating an energy efficient workflow: how can you save energy without reducing the quality of the service or product? These are questions that the "Initiative Energy" will answer. This "Initiative Energy" is a sector-specific workshop series initiated by the Bremen ANSWER partners.
Over the course of three workshops, plus an onsite energy check, the participants will learn how to identify energy waste, how to improve performance and will be informed about different funding schemes that match their needs. The workshop series runs over six months starting in October 2010, and finishes with a review workshop for all.
The business sectors of IT and server farms, hotels and gastronomy and carpenters and timber merchants are being addressed in this first pilot phase. The Bremen partner RKW Bremen GmbH is organising these workshops, which will be led by experts in their fields.
